Foundation
What you can expect from Littelfuse:
The foundation of our global supply base strategy is built upon management commitment, has a well-defined quality structure and employs education and training to ensure expectations are understood and met.
Management Commitment
Partnerships require a commitment from both parties. We start by treating the relationship as a marriage. We pair resources from different levels within our organization with their counterparts in the supplier's organization to ensure that objectives are met in an efficient, effective manner.
Quality Processes
Our expectations of our supply base reflect how we run our business. The standards and expectations we hold for ourselves are no different than what we ask of you. We utilize clearly defined processes, including quality audits, quality measurement systems and a quality approval process, to ensure consistently high quality products and services.
Awareness, Recognition and Involvement
We work closely with suppliers, sharing information and integrating them into our processes from the start. This relationship enables us to take advantage of opportunities not available to us when working separately. Our ability to provide incremental opportunity- including opportunities resulting from business segment growth-is a significant reward we provide our suppliers. Also important for a strong foundation is our commitment to recognizing and rewarding our high performing suppliers.
Education & Training
The fourth building block of our foundation- education and training-is essential for building knowledge, making continuous improvements and ensuring that our quality expectations are met. Our Supplier Quality Engineers play a key role in educating and training suppliers both through direct involvement and by providing access to other internal and external resources, when needed.
